Caffey Distributing Company and it employees are
actively involved in efforts to improve the quality of life in
the communities in which they do business. Support of
communities has been a basic tenet of Caffey’s business
philosophy since the very beginning.
Volunteering
Each year, we along with our employees donate
time and talent to numerous nonprofit and charitable
organizations in support of local community events and
activities.
Corporate Citizenship
At Caffey Distributing Company, we measure our
success not only in terms of our financial performance, but also
in terms of our social performance. Being a good neighbor is a
company tradition. In fact, since we were founded in 1962,
Caffey has been committed to improving the quality of life of
the people who buy our products, our employees, and the
communities where we do business. This responsibility has never
been taken lightly and will continue to be a cornerstone of the
company’s dedication to integrity and respect in the way we
treat people, our neighbors, our business associates and our
environment.
Community Contributions
- Caffey is a member of the Two Percent Club, a group of
companies that pledge to give at least two percent of pretax
profits back to the community.
- Contributions include cash grants, product support for
events, logo merchandise for fund-raisers, donations of used
equipment and employee volunteers.
- In addition to corporate contributions, the company’s
employees participate in a company-wide United Way campaign
that benefits our local communities. The company provides
matching funds for every employee dollar.
- The company has been assisting St. Jude Children’s
Hospital in cooperation with Coors Brewing Company. These
fund-raising efforts support critical research and medical
treatment for children suffering from caner and other
life-threatening diseases.
- The company has been supporting United Cerebral Palsy in
cooperation with Miller Brewing Company. These fund-raising
efforts support critical research and medical treatment for
individuals with Cerebral Palsy.
- The company supports the United Arts Council in Charlotte,
NC
