 Caffey Distributing has been servicing North Carolina for more than sixty-five years. The company was originally established in 1939 as  H.G. Wright Distributing Company in Greensboro, NC. On May 1, 1962, I.H. Caffey, Jr. purchased the company and renamed it Caffey Distributing. At the time it was purchased, the company distributed Miller, Falstaff and Country Club Malt Liquor out of a two-door garage with a dirt floor.

From these humble beginnings, Caffey Distributing has grown into one of the largest beer distributors in the Mid-Atlantic region. In 1982, Caffey moved into its present 135,000 square foot headquarters and distribution facility in western Greensboro. In September of 1995, Caffey expanded again by acquiring Southern Wholesale of Charlotte, NC and their 100,000 square foot distribution facility. The acquisition made Caffey the largest volume Miller Brewing Company distributor in the three state Mid-Atlantic Marketing Area (North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia), and broadened our portfolio of import, specialty and micro brews.
