Responsible Drinking

I.H. Caffey Distributing, Inc. distributes beer products to over 3,600 retail accounts in 16 counties in the Greensboro and Charlotte N.C. area.  Throughout history, our products have been a part of social events and celebrations; helping people come together to enjoy life. Today, our business allows us to be a part of those celebrations and events throughout the communities we service.   We recognize the importance of our involvement and the responsibility required in being a distributor of alcoholic beverages. That's why we make an effort to market our products responsibly and we are proud to take the time to give back to our community.   To show our determination to support Responsible Drinking, we have an appointed person at each of our distribution facilities to administer responsibility initiatives within the related communities.

Some of those activities will involve:

  • Making Responsible Drinking presentations to civic organizations such as Rotary, Jaycees, etc.
  • Distributing “Let’s Talk”, a guide for parents to discuss issues related to alcoholic beverages with their children, via PTA/school organizations, pediatrician and orthodontist offices.
  • Working with college and university campuses in the Greensboro and Charlotte areas to support annual “Alcohol Awareness Week” and “Safe Spring Break” functions.
  • Offering "Training for Intervention Procedures by Servers of Alcohol", better known has “TIPS”. (So far, we have trained over 200 servers in 2001!)
  • Providing in-house programs and information for our employees.

If you would like to receive the “Let’s Talk” booklet or any of our Responsible Drinking information or materials, please contact:

We will continue our efforts, along with our suppliers, into the future to help our communities become better educated on alcohol usage and the importance of drinking responsibly and within the law.
