Wedding
Wedding Toast Etiquette:
-
The father of the bride proposes the first toast to his
daughter and his future son-in-law at the engagement party.
-
The host or father of the groom proposes the first toast to
the bride and groom at the rehearsal party.
-
The best man proposes the first toast to the bride and groom
at the wedding reception.
-
If the bride and groom are seated when the toasts are proposed
to them, they remain seated while others should stand. After
guests have responded to the toast, the bride and groom drink
their wine.
May your hearts beat as one from this day
forward.
To (Groom), the luckiest man on earth, and to
(Bride), the woman who made him that way.
Here’s to marriage, for man is not complete
until he is married…and then he is finished!
Here’s to the husband and here’s to the wife:
May they be lovers for life.
Marriage is a wonderful institution – and I
can’t think of two people who should be institutionalized more
than (Bride) and (Groom)?
May your love be as endless as your wedding
rings.
To Fate that brought you together, and Love
that will keep you happy forever.
May all of your ups and downs be between the
sheets.
May your love be modern enough to survive the
times, and old-fashioned enough to last forever.
May you never lie, cheat or drink. But if you
must lie, lie in each other’s arms. And if you must cheat, cheat
death. But if you must drink, drink with all of us now because
we love you!
Marriage is a lot like the army; everyone
complains, but you’d be surprised at the large number that
re-enlist.
(Bride), please put your hand on the table.
Now, (Groom) put your hand on top of (Bride’s) hand. I want
everyone in the room to see the last time that (Groom) has the
upper hand!
May your hands be forever clasped in
friendship and your hearts forever joined in love.
Welcome to the next chapter in your book of
life! May it have a happy ending.
May the bridge you build together span a
lifetime.
And remember, on any disagreement the husband
is entitled to the last few words. And those words are, “Yes,
dear.”
As you make your way through life together,
hold fast to your dreams and each other’s hands.
Live each day as if it’s your last, and each
night as if it was your first.
May the rest of your lives be like a bed of
roses…without the thorns.
I wish both of you the patience of Job, the
wisdom of Solomon, and the children of Israel.
Welcome to the next chapter in your life. May
your book of life have a happy ending! |
